Bio: Rachel graduated from the University of Toronto in June 2022 with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History. An American Studies minor, she also attended American University in Washington D.C. as a Killam Fellow in 2020-21. Rachel has been involved with SFL since 2017 and has served as a Local Coordinator, Regional Coordinator for Canada East, President of the University of Toronto chapter, and most recently as North American Recruitment Intern last semester. In her time at SFL she has been proud to build a local and regional network representing a wide range of libertarian perspectives. As a student activist, she also organized events as Chair of the University of Toronto Hart House Student Debates and Dialogue Committee’s Politics and Law Subcommittee on civil libertarian issues such as defunding the police and free speech in the digital era. Her articles on Canadian foreign policy have been published in the SIR Journal of International Relations and The Future of History and she has also contributed to Quillette Magazine, iAffairs Canada, and the NATO Association of Canada. A former varsity athlete and competitive wrestler, Rachel enjoys spending her free time tackling people and lifting heavy objects.
