- What made you decide to join Students For Liberty?
Back in the day, I thought that being part of something special would make me special. This is why I decided to join European Students For Liberty.
I knew that people who were in this organization were extremely cool and they were promoting ideas which were very important to me.
I joined ESFL because I thought that they could give me a chance to grow as a leader, with the permission to do anything that I want to do.
- What was your biggest accomplishment as a student leader with Students For Liberty?
Becoming a leader for European Students For Liberty gave me the best community I could have ever dreamt of.
I have connections with very talented people and leaders from all around the world. We advocate for ideas and work together to make our world a freer place.
My biggest accomplishment as a student leader with Students For Liberty was organizing the Tbilisi Regional Conference, which had more than 1,400 attendees. As a director of the conference, I knew that I was doing something important not only for me and the organization, but for everyone around me.
- What are some of the best tools and resources Students For Liberty gave you?
Students For Liberty gave me the most important knowledge and information about everything I needed to be the person I am today.
In the beginning, when I was studying medicine, I thought that the only thing I could do was to be at the hospital and do the usual things that doctors do, but then ESFL came into my life and opened the gates for me.
I learned how the economy works. This organization also helped me establish my own company, which is growing bigger day by day.
I have become a team player; I have learnt how to communicate with thousands of people; I learned how to take responsibility for myself, and most importantly, how to be a FREE person without any clichés.
- What would you tell someone who’s considering getting involved?
If you love freedom, want to spread peace, love and liberty, and see yourself as a leader but don’t have the experience yet, European Students For Liberty is the right organization to join.
You will meet people from all around the world from all professions. You can start or build a career in any country you want with the help of ESFL, and most importantly, your ideas will be heard and carried out the way you envisioned it.
- What made you interested in the ideas of liberty?
Everyone knows that Georgia was/is a conservative country. When I was a child, I had different opinions in almost everything compared to the community around me. Happily, I had permission to think as I wanted, because my parents knew what prohibition and restriction of liberty meant, as they were born and raised under the Soviet Union.
My mom once said: ‘’Liberty is a sweet that every child would want, but not everyone can taste it, you have to earn it.’’ This was the first time I realized that I have to strive for liberty.
- What does liberty mean TO YOU?
Liberty is the biggest challenge for me. It’s like hair. It’s yours. You can cut it, or make it longer, buy it or sell it. You can do anything you want to do with your hair, because you don’t need permission from others.
